We invite you to join our Introduction to Yoga Nidra workshop on Saturday, 22 August at the Valley Wellness Centre in Bordeaux, Johannesburg.
We will be exploring introductory-level concepts pertaining to the yogic practice of Yoga Nidra or Conscious sleep.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
1. Understand the philosophical concepts underlying the practice of Yoga Nidra.
2. Understand the importance of the state of deep relaxation induced by Yoga Nidra practice to leverage it as a tool for self-improvement at a profound level; to become more peaceful and efficient in daily life; to heal past traumas and overcome modern-day psychological problems such as acute stress, anxiety, depression etc. in tandem with living a life of balance and self-control (brahmacharya).
3. Learn about the benefits of Yoga Nidra when practiced regularly.
4. Understand key Sanskrit terms such as vasana, sanskara, klesha, antaraya etc.
5. Learn to practice Yoga Nidra at a beginner-level.
