Clean-up and Recycle SA Week, an annual initiative by the local plastics industry, supported and endorsed by the various packaging streams and retailers, is taking place this year from 11 – 17 September 2017.

Various clean-ups have been planned for neighbourhoods, water sources and beaches around the country.

For those of us based in Johannesburg we can get into the spirit of spring-cleaning, by joining Sheergaurd SA, on Saturday 16th September from 07:00 at the Braamfontein spruit to help collect litter along this beautiful recreation route. Join them at the carpark on the corner of Conrad Drive and Hillcrest Avenue in Ferndale, heading North towards Riverclub. Bring gloves, gumboots, catch sticks and plastic bags.
