International Day of Yoga 21st June 2020 With Yoga Works – The Home Edition

The word ‘Yoga’ is derived from the Sanskrit root ‘Yuj’, meaning ‘to join’ or ‘to yoke’ or ‘to unite’. So the very meaning of yoga is Union, connectedness. It focuses on bringing harmony to the mind and the body.
We invite you to join the Yoga Works team for International Day of Yoga 2020 – The Home Edition.  We have a line-up of amazing teachers who are bringing you a one day ‘at home retreat’, filled with delicious yoga, mindful meditation, yummy food as well as a bit of yoga education.
For this year we’ve chosen the theme of CONNECTION. Never before has connection with ourselves, our inner minds and bodies, our breath, and our relationships with others been of more importance. The very way we connect, communicate and move around has been profoundly altered by the global pandemic and yoga is a powerful tool to sustain our health and togetherness in the face of recent challenges.
Each workshop has been designed with this in mind and we hope that by the end of the day, we end this together, realizing we are all one, globally, nationally, locally. Let’s work towards becoming the best versions of ourselves and positively connect with everyone and everything we come into contact with.

Tickets are free, you can book your spot  by going to to www.howler.co.za/yogaday .  If you are able to, we invite you click the donation link – the proceeds of which will be shared between our two causes: Yoga4Alex and Township Yogi.  If you make a donation of minimum R250, you will receive a copy of The Township Yogi movie (due to be released on International Day of Yoga 21st June 2020) as well as a link to download the videos of all the workshops from this event.
These incredible NPO’s are changing lives in disadvantaged communities through outreach programs offering education, yoga and life skills. With your help we would love to give them more support to continue their important work.
