3-Day Fascia Release, Breath and Yoga Retreat
Fascia Release, or more technically Myofascia Release, is a safe & effective technique to eliminate pain & restore motion in the body.
Fascia’s role is so significant that it cannot be removed from any human condition. It is a head to toe, inside to out, all-encompassing and interwoven system of fibrous connective tissue found throughout the body.
It can assist your system back to homeostasis, leaving you feeling better for longer.
This is a form of physical self-therapy for stress management, injury prevention and relaxation, accessible to anyone.
Fascia provides a framework which helps support & protect individual muscle groups, organs, & the entire body as a unit.
The aim of Fascia Release Therapy is to stretch & loosen the fascia to move more freely.
By applying the correct amount of pressure, soft-tissue adhesions & scar-tissue are eliminated, freeing up the connective tissue & releasing areas of tension. In short, myofascial release through the use of rolling & trigger point release helps to free tension, strengthen the body from the feet up, reduce the risk of injury & assist in generally feeling better.
During this retreat we will be combining Ball Therapy (a form of self-massage through trigger-point release), Breath and Yoga Techniques.
If you are new to wellness practices such as yoga and fascia release, you are welcome to come learn!
If you already practice these modalities for health, healing or in a spiritual practice, you are welcome to come deepen your understanding!
If you are a wellness teacher, facilitator or space holder, you are welcome to come and be held!
