“A rigid or narrow minded person has difficulty in getting on with other people and with their own life. On the other hand, a broad-minded, flexible person will fit in anywhere.
Being flexible, we will be willing to adapt, to fit together like pieces in a jigsaw puzzle. This is the attitude of someone who carries a sleeping bag, willing to sleep anywhere, willing to adapt to circumstances rather than resisting change. We cannot change the world we live in to conform to our wishes. But we can have mastery over how we experience it. We learn to accept and adapt maturing our minds in the process…
We cannot wish to change other people or to impose our own will or opinion on a situation… This calls for us to be patient and without expectations”. (Akong Tulku Rinpoche)
